Your Year In Review – Questions

Shared by Lynn Scheurell ::  www.MyCreativeCatalyst.com

This is the time to consider your last year in review both for closure and for determining what you will commit to in this new year.

To help you in that process, here are some questions to jump-start your thinking. There is no right or wrong here, by the way… this is simply a way to look at how you have been living your life up until now. (And it’s up to you if you want to share it with anyone in your world or keep it confidential.)

I encourage you to print out these fill-in-the-blank questions, then curl up with a notepad somewhere and give yourself time to work your way through them (either all at once or in bites) to show you the gifts of gratitude for what was and the excitement for what is yet to come…

In 2017…

5 Principles Of Energy You Need To Know

Energy is everything. So to understand what’s happening and get new results in your business, you need to understand energy – and relate to the power you have in communion with it – in a new way.

One of the most common things I hear from my clients is that either things are moving too fast (overwhelm, multi-tasking isn’t enough, too many irons in the fire) or too slow (not enough clients / money / resources).

Each of these experiences is NOT about the actual situation the person is in; instead, it’s about their relationship and awareness about energy and how to channel it effectively.

Unlock Your Potential By Using Energy

Your potential is all that is possible for you, and, unfortunately, many people don’t know how to tap into it effectively to live their most amazing life.  We are generally trained to use our intellect, reasoning and linear mind rather than tapping into, following and optimizing the power of our energetic body.

Additionally, we are socialized to believe only what we can see with our physical eyes. Because we are not accustomed to cultivating and caring for our energy, the results we get are often inconsistent, inexplicable and not exactly what we want.

Business Lessons From a Bank Robber and a Killer

First and foremost:  I DO NOT condone bank robbing or killing people (or any crime for that matter). But, there is a lesson in what I have to share. I invite you for a small moment to take off the judgment hat.

So… you know how The Universe has a way of delivering messages you need to hear?  And, how sometimes those messages show up or get to you in a bizarre and strange way?  (That’s usually the clue that you really better listen!)

The Charles Schulz Philosophy

I wanted to share this today because it makes such a profound point.

I think that sometimes, in regard to our business (or starting a business) that we don’t think we’re successful (or can be as successful as others such as  figure heads in our industry or niches) …  if we don’t have some kind of recognition, title, status, award, degree, are the ‘best of’, seal of approval, lots of abbreviated letters after our name, etc…

A lot of times we let that stop us dead in our tracks, slow us down…. or worse yet, keep us from even starting at all!

3 Warning Signs That Procrastination Is Stealing Your Life Away

Today’s article is by guest author and Secrets Of  Her Success expert panel member, Lynn Scheurell, of My Creative Catalyst.com

“Procrastination is the fear of success. People procrastinate because they are afraid of the success that they know will result if they move ahead now. Because success is heavy, carries a responsibility with it, it is much easier to procrastinate and live on the ‘someday I’ll’ philosophy.”  ~ Denis Waitley

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
According to the dictionary, procrastination is defined as “to put off intentionally and habitually, or to put off intentionally the doing of something that should be done”.
If we break that definition down, we see that there is personal and deliberate knowingness in our delaying the doing of something that should get done and that delaying can become a pattern, or habit, over time. For purposes of this forum, the “should” get done is presumed to be something you want, could, need or should get done, and is not the “should” of false obligation (as in, don’t should on yourself!).
