What’s your WHY?  Why did you start your business?

I started my business to change lives. I believe that when God gives you a purpose and a gift, it’s really important to follow your heart and run with it.

Is there something that you did that “got the ball rolling” with your business?

What really got the ball rolling for me was to believe in myself. For quite a long time, I didn’t have enough confidence in myself or my ability to be successful in my business. I would compare myself to others in my field and think that they knew more than me, or that they were smarter than me, or they did things better than I did. When I let go of those limiting beliefs things really started to flow.

Another thing that jump-started my success was by creating an office and home environment that supported my business vision, my goals and my dreams. I set up my office so that I feel empowered. That made a huge impact on my business. So it wasn’t so much about “doing.” It was about stepping into my power.

What do you do now to continue to generate a profit?  What marketing methods are yielding the best results for you?

I use Facebook to build relationships and to convert people to my list or to a client.

I also attend networking events to build my relationships on a local level.


Were there any hurdles, obstacles, road-blocks, tears shed or set-backs for you as you created your business?  How did you overcome them?

There were plenty of road blocks and hurdles for me to overcome. I did my “inner work” to break through those blocks that were keeping me playing small and hiding out. Some of the ways I used to overcome my difficulties was through energy work and mindset techniques. This has helped me make the decision to step into my power and play big.

What also helped me was to remember that I was given a gift and that I have people that who need me and are waiting for my help. I would be doing them a disservice by playing small.

You can be, do and have anything you desire. You must believe in yourself and also make the decision to play BIG!

What words of encouragement could you offer to someone that feels afraid, stuck or may be finding themselves at a difficult point in their business?

Every successful entrepreneur has had their hardships. You’re not alone. It’s important to always move through your fears.  You need to get comfortable with being uncomfortable. Get the support that you need from a coach or a mentor to help you through your difficulties.

Is there anything that you’ve learned along the way that you wish you had known early on (“Hind sight is 20/20”)?

To be my authentic self and do things in a way that feels good to me rather than the way everyone else does things.

What is your favorite ‘Rescue Remedy’ – in other words, what do you do to help you through the rough spots?

I surround myself with positive people that I can reach out to when I’m going through rough times.

What books do you recommend (business/personal development)?

I’m an avid reader. I find that reading personal development books keep me positive and focused. Here are a few gems that I recommend – Working With The Law, The Four Spiritual Laws of Prosperity, The Big Leap, God Works Through Faith and You2.

What’s the secret to success?

Here are some key ingredients that I believe are important to success. Be authentic. Trust your inner guidance. Have clarity. Develop a great brand. Do what makes your heart sing and delegate the rest. Get the help and support of a mentor that’s more successful than you. Stay focused. Set clear goals and a plan of action. Do your inner work to release your limiting beliefs that are preventing you from reaching your full potential (we all have them). Set up your home and work environments for success.


Is there anything else you’d like to share or say that would be helpful knowledge to share with women internet business owners either business wise or personal development wise?

No matter what your business is, you’re really in the sales and marketing business. You must learn how to sell and market your business very well.

You can learn great business strategies, work with a business coach, participate in a mastermind, read books, attend events but if you don’t do your inner work (your business is a reflection of you) you won’t get very far.

Your home and workspace are mirrors of what’s happening in your life and your business. In order to be truly successful your environments must reflect where you want to go, not where you’re at now.
